Subtitle sources and quality
Read the source indicator
Section titled “Read the source indicator”The indicator describes where the available subtitles came from. It is not a guarantee that every word is correct.
| Indicator | Subtitle source |
|---|---|
| Green | AI-processed subtitles |
| Yellow | Captions supplied by the video publisher |
| Red | Automatic platform captions |
Check the text
Section titled “Check the text”Listen to a short section and compare names, numbers and sentence breaks with the captions. Automatic speech recognition can lose words in music, overlapping speech or background noise.
Correct a track
Section titled “Correct a track”Use the subtitle editor to inspect or replace a track before translating it. Automatic background optimization and completion emails are not enabled in this release. The planned workflow processes red automatic captions for English videos up to 1.5 hours, then makes the optimized track green and sends a completion notification. Until it is available, correct a track in the editor or use the processing controls offered for your account.
