Summarize a video
Generate a summary
Section titled “Generate a summary”- Open a supported video with subtitles.
- Choose the target language in YouTube Voice and open the side panel.
- Select the summary tab and start generation. This feature requires subtitles and an eligible account; access is checked against your account on supported websites.
Review the result
Section titled “Review the result”Read the overview and the grouped highlights; longer videos can produce more highlight topics. Follow a timestamp to revisit the relevant part of the video. A summary is generated from subtitle text and may omit context or repeat transcription mistakes.
Copy and verify
Section titled “Copy and verify”Use the copy controls for the overview or the complete result. Verify important claims against the video before sharing them. If the source captions are incorrect, fix them before generating a new summary.
