The extension is missing from a video
Section titled “The extension is missing from a video”Open the browser extension manager, enable YouTube Voice and check its access to the current website. Reload the video tab after changing permissions.
Sign-in does not persist
Section titled “Sign-in does not persist”Use the same browser profile for the account and extension. In the extension manager, allow access to all intended video sites. Check whether browser privacy settings or another extension block the account session, third-party cookies or site storage. Allow required storage for the account origin and retry within the same browser profile. Reload the page and sign in again.
There is no translated sound
Section titled “There is no translated sound”Start the video with a user gesture, check that the tab is not muted and raise translation volume. Confirm that the chosen language has an available voice and that subtitles have loaded. The planned Safari workflow requires iOS 17 or later for audio and a regular, non-private tab; there is no released YouTube Voice iOS app to install from this guide.
The words are wrong
Section titled “The words are wrong”Check the source subtitle track first. Correct transcription mistakes in the editor and verify that the target language is set correctly.
